The Merchant’s House is available for rental before 12 p.m. or after 5 p.m., i.e., outside regular museum hours. Under certain circumstances, we will consider closing the museum to the public at 4 p.m. An additional charge will apply.

Wedding Ceremony

Say your wedding vows in the Museum’s elegant Greek Revival double parlor or lushly planted 19th-century “secret” garden.

For 2 hours (including set-up and clean-up), the house & garden are yours!

Up to 10 people — $550
Up to 25 people — $900
Up to 40 people — $1,500

Including the bridal couple, guests, and vendors.
Museum provides gold folding chairs.

In case of rain. If you’ve planned a garden ceremony and it rains, we can easily move to the Greek Revival double parlor. (Some just bring umbrellas.)

Pre- or Post-Wedding Ceremony Toast

Bring your own drinks (Champagne, anyone?) and light hors d’oeuvres for a pre- or post-ceremony toast in the period kitchen, family room, or garden. We provide the table.

Add 1 hour (3-hour total): $25 per person (min. $250)

Keep within the 2 hours: $15 per person (min. $150, 25 people maximum)

Wedding Ceremony & Catered Cocktail Reception

Hold your wedding ceremony in our Greek Revival double parlor or garden, followed by a cocktail reception in the period kitchen, family room, or garden. We provide gold folding chairs for the ceremony and one table for the reception, if needed.

3-hour event, plus 1 hour for set-up and 1 hour for clean-up (5 hours total): Ceremony Fee + $75 per person
Additional fees may apply depending on the space(s) used, number of vendors, and set-up requirements. Call or email for more information.

Wedding Ceremony & Seated Dinner

Hold your ceremony in our Greek Revival double parlor or gden, then have a seated dinner in the double parlor, period kitchen, family room, or garden.

Rental fees for sit-down dinners are determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the overall complexity of your event (e.g., number of guests, length of the event, amount of set-up prior to the event, number of vendors, rentals).

Rental fees for Ceremony & Seated Dinner in the Double Parlor start at $400 per person, with a maximum 20 guests.

Rental fees are for the space only. The Museum can recommend caterers.
