The “immaculately preserved” Merchant’s House is available for intimate Wedding Ceremonies and Post-Ceremony Toasts. Choose our charming 19th century “secret” Garden or elegant Greek Revival double parlor, ideal settings for a memorable event.
Rental Policy, Fees & Guidelines under COVID-19
Wedding Ceremony in Our Exquisite 19th Century Garden or Greek Revival Double Parlor
Up to 15 people — $1,600, including the bridal couple, guests, and all vendors (photographer, officiant, musicians, etc.)
Up to 25 people — $2,200
Rental fee includes a tax-deductible, one-year membership in the Merchant’s House Museum.
Chairs — On-site Wedding Concierge and Museum Staff will set up/break down folding chairs.
Add a Post-Ceremony Toast
Bring light hors d’oeuvres and … Champagne, anyone?
Within 2-hour Ceremony:
$15 per person (min. $150)
Add 1 hour to Ceremony (3 hours total):
$25 per person (min. $250)
Client is responsible for bringing food/beverage and all supplies (tablecloth, cups, napkins, cutlery), as well as setting up, arranging, and serving. Catered events are not permitted. The Museum cannot accept deliveries prior to the event. Museum Staff will set up one caterer’s table (30″ x 72″) for serving.
In Case of Rain. The Garden cannot be tented. In case of rain, your Ceremony will be held in our elegant Greek Revival Double Parlor and the Toast in the 1850 kitchen. Seating will be limited to adhere to social distancing restrictions.
Zoom Your Wedding. You may wish to invite those who cannot attend in person to attend virtually via Zoom.
Docent Tours. Guided Tours of the house (up to five people) are available at an additional charge.
COVID Safety Protocols. The Museum is carefully following NYS’s COVID-19 Guidelines to ensure the safety of our clients, their guests, and Museum staff. Clients are responsible for submitting, in writing, that they, their guests and vendors, are symptom-free and complying with NYS’s Travel Advisory. Clients, guests, and vendors are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. Museum Staff will wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. The Museum has hand-sanitizing stations throughout the house and has implemented enhanced measures for cleaning and disinfecting.
