Rental Policy, Fees & Guidelines

The “immaculately preserved” Merchant’s House is available for intimate Wedding Ceremonies and Post-Ceremony Toasts. Choose our charming 19th century secret Garden or elegant Greek Revival double parlor, ideal settings for a memorable event.

Wedding Ceremony

Ceremonies take place in the 19th Century Garden or Greek Revival Double Parlor

Fees for Two Hours
Including the bridal couple, officiant, guests, and other vendors (e.g., photographer, musicians).

Up to 10 people  — $1,800
11-15 people — $2,350

16-20 people — $3,100
21-25 people — $3,800
26-30 people (max.) — At the museum’s discretion.

Post-Ceremony Toast

Within 2-hour Ceremony:
$35 per person (min. $350)

Add 1 hour to Ceremony (3 hours total):
$45 per person (min. $450)

NOTE: Client is responsible for bringing food/beverage and all supplies (tablecloth, cups, napkins, cutlery), as well as setting up, arranging, and serving. Catered events are not permitted. If It Rains. The Garden cannot be tented. In case of rain, your Ceremony will be held in our elegant Greek Revival Double Parlor and the Toast in the 1850s kitchen.

Docent House Tours. Guided Tours of the house are available at an additional charge.

Zoom Your Wedding. You may wish to invite those who cannot attend in person to attend virtually via Zoom.

Ceremony date? Time?
2 hours, just Ceremony? Or with a Post-Ceremony Toast? Toast within the 2 hours or add an extra hour? Total number of attendees? (bridal couple, guests, photographer, officiant, musician(s)?)
Decorations? Flowers? Music? Special requests?
Please note: the museum is open to the public Wednesday – Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m.
Rentals beginning before 5 p.m. will incur an additional fee; rentals may not begin before 4 p.m.
