A Christmas Carol at the Merchant’s House 2014

“Masterful storytelling” and “a tour de force”
“Stays true to Dickens’s voice”
“Perfectly suited to the season”

Some of Manhattan’s most well-known resident ghosts will be visited again by three spirits of 19th century literary fame this holiday season. Summoners Ensemble Theatre returns with A Christmas Carol at the Merchant’s House.

20 Characters. One hour. One Actor.

Decked with period decorations of the season, the elegant and intact Greek Revival double parlor of the landmark 1832 Merchant’s House provides the perfect setting for this work of captivating storytelling. Based on Dickens’ own performance text, crafted for the stage by John Kevin Jones and Rhonda Dodd, the show highlights the story’s stunning narrative imagery and
wry humor.
